For founders and business owners, the relationship with money is never just about numbers. It shapes how they make decisions, how they define growth, what risks they are willing to take, how much pressure they carry, and what kind of company they are building. It influences pricing, fundraising, hiring, compensation, delegation, ownership, and even the quality of trust within the team. And yet, for something so central to the life of a business, the relationship with money often remains largely unexplored. Beneath every financial decision may sit a mix of beliefs, fears, habits, assumptions, and old conditioning that quietly influence how we earn, spend, save, invest, raise, share, and hold money.
The Money Pilgrimage is a two-day journey for founders and business owners who want to look more closely at this inner relationship with money and understand how it may be shaping their leadership and business choices. Through reflection, dialogue, contemplative practices, and the experiential Money Game, participants are invited to explore not only their relationship with financial success, but also the deeper patterns around trust, power, delegation, control, transparency, and value creation that often sit underneath money decisions. At the heart of this pilgrimage lies the Money Game, a gamified experienced designed by the Findhorn community in Scotland and brought to the world in virtual format by Greaterthan. |

The Money Game happens in multiple rounds in a group setting of up to 12 participants. There are many moments of silence, journaling and reflective dialogue wherein participants are invited to dive within and make a sense of their own experiences. In the process of this game, you may witness difficult emotions that have the potential to become a fertile ground for personal and collective growth.
To be able to participate in the Money game part of the experience, you are required to bring a meaningful amount of money in cash that you are comfortable letting go of, but that is enough to 'trigger' your learning within. Kindly take some time to feel into this amount. This can vary for people based on their budget, regular income, background etc (Rs 500 to 10,000 for example). At the end of the money game, participants can take back the amount that they are left with.

Why open to Founders & Business Owners only?
The pilgrimage creates a space for:
- Personal reflection – Exploring personal money stories while also reflecting on how they manifest in the organizations they are building.
- Co-founder alignment – Encouraging all co-founders to join, to understand each other’s money histories and develop a deeper awareness of how to collaborate effectively while still acknowledging individual patterns.
- Common Patterns – Experiencing this journey alongside other founders & business owners helps to identify financial patterns common across the organizational building ecosystem.
What this Pilgrimage is not about!
This pilgrimage is neither about learning 'how to be rich, fast', nor about financial literacy or investments. This is more about your personal relationship with money (unconscious beliefs and habitual patterns); no matter whether you are super-rich or struggling, this journey is equally relevant to you.

Ashish supports people to follow their hearts and organisations to create transformative cultures. He is on a journey to heal his own relationship to money, and believes that it is one of the most central work that humans can do, as money now influences almost all areas of our lives.
Ashish is a core member of Common Ground, and is a cofounder of Sahaj Foundation. Through The Vriksh Initiative, he supports early-stage social leaders in India, helping them design community interventions to serve the underserved. Ashish believes in the power of grounded, natural lifestyle. He lives on his farm in Bir, Himachal Pradesh with his wife, Divya Gupta. |
Kiran Sabnis

Kiran Sabnis is a designer, educator, and lifelong learner. He is deeply curious about how our beliefs, emotions, and life experiences shape the way we relate to money.
His own journey with money continues to teach him about fear, freedom, trust, generosity, and the meaning of enough. He believes that changing our relationship with money begins with understanding ourselves. As a co-facilitator of Money Pilgrimage, Kiran hopes to create a space where people can pause, reflect, share, and explore their own relationship with money with openness and compassion. |
