RURAL IMMERSION PROGRAMS
PARTICIPANTS' SPEAK
The Dialogue facilitated me to live through ages, starting from primitive to pre-colonial to post-independence and beyond. It helped me to have a bird's eye view of the whole scenario, and develop a new perspective on development discourse. The program has a power to change lives."
- Habeebul Rahiman, Assistant Professor, Jamia Millia Islamia University,Delhi |
The Dialogues comes with a purpose to understand the space of rural development from the lens of Self-Reliance. The Dialogue also examines advantages and disadvantages of Self-reliance, Government interventions and Market based systems, thereby encouraging its participants to strike a balance among them while designing their initiatives for communities.
The 6 days long intense process of the Dialogue has been designed for individuals (college students/ working professionals) who wish to work or who are already working for the development of the villages in India. The execution of the Dialogue involves group simulations, field visits, meditation, reflection and documentaries.

RETREATS
PARTICIPANT'S SPEAK
"I realized that the heart is simple. It's the mind the mischievous one, that complicates it all. Yet mind needs to be handled with care and gentleness, not too strictly. The problem begins when we give ourselves too much importance. When we shed our identity and surrender completely, that's when magic begins to work. It is essential to learn how to 'LET GO' of people, circumstance, emotions and fears. I realized that the Heart knows it all."
- Pragya Banka, Surat |
We organize retreats in the midst of Himalayas to bring you back to your heart and closer to your purpose of being. Our retreats come in three formats:
'Dealing with Negative Emotions' Retreat is designed for those who feel that most of their life energy is being drained by the negative emotions such as Anger, Fear, Anxiety, Attachment, Greed, Jealousy etc on daily basis, thus leaving them with less energy energy to focus on what is important in life. 'Head2Heart' retreat comes with an objective to take its seekers on a journey from their Minds to their Hearts so that they can not only identify their Heart’s calling, but also gather courage to follow the same in the real world. ‘Peaceful Living’ retreat is designed with a purpose to go inside and understand the real needs of ourselves which go beyond material offerings of the world. It takes us on an inner journey to experience the meaning of love, compassion and trust to discover inner peace. |
LOCAL
COMMUNITY
PROJECTS
Our community projects come with a purpose of connecting local rural kids back to their traditional knowledge systems while ensuring that they imbibe their community values and essential life skills.
We mostly organize 7-15 days long intense workshops (6-8 hours per day) that involve project based learning, interactive sessions, surveys, collaborative games, documentaries, meditation etc. The workshops are usually held for about 15-20 kids during their school breaks in local spaces offered by the community. At the end of the whole experience, the participants are encouraged to present their learnings to their parents and community members. |
